Is now a good or bad time to buy?

My partner and i are hoping to move to Singapore in the near future. we'd like to buy a property but we're unsure of whether now is a good time to buy. We've heard some say that the market is at it's peak and probably won't rise any more. surely we'd be foolish to buy at the top of the market.

What are the views on this? We could easily hold off till after Xmas.

I am also looking for a property currently. I would like to comment that Yes, it is a good option to wait for the market to adjust itself and perhaps the property price will slide next year. However, do yuo have the available contacts to engage and purchase the property that you want which is valued at a good price??? That's a question to ponder.

When Grand Duchess was launched, all units were snapped up within 36 hours! How did these buyers get the info that the price launched was a good one and good investment purchase as well? It is through the good contact and network and the Buyers have to engage good investment.

Therefore, make your own evaluation whether to purchase now or later. I would comment that the property price might be at its peak; thus if there is an offer which is 100psf lower than the current market, do consider to grab it, otherwise you can wait but good deal and units may not be made available for you.
